Trying to deliver something to my mom on campus this morning after calling twice and texting she finally sent:
"I just left that rm mi phon is dyin"
And people say the youth of today are ruining the english language...

When Parents Text
Texting "conversation" with my mom this morning:
MOM: Am at conference so text me if u need me
ME: Haha, well hopefully I won't. You're terrible at texting back.
{5 hours later}
ME: I see what you did there.
Someone came in my office at work earlier asking who they should talk to to get information about paranoid personality disorders, I wasn't really sure, so I just sent him to a professor I knew was actually in the building and would at least know something about it and who else for him to get in contact with. When another professor came in my office to get something from the printer, I asked him who the best authorities in the department were on personality disorders because someone had just asked me. He let me know who would be best to refer someone to and then said "Is this actually for a friend? You're not dating him are you?!"
I thought it was rather humorous. I assured him that it really was for some guy who had just come into my office. I wonder what he would have said if it was for my hypothetical paranoid boyfriend.
